Choosing Affordable Girls Room Décor
by admin on Feb.25, 2012, under home improvement
If your young preadolescent girl has made a request for new bedroom decorations, you might be wondering how you could ever afford the latest girls room décor that is up to her standards. After all, at the rate young girls request new room decorations, it would be impossible to keep up with their demands and still stay within your budget. So, instead of completely redecorating the room, a better option might be to invest in some small embellishments that would certainly make the room look distinctive yet still match the majority of other furniture and décor in the area.
For instance, you could easily add some butterflies to almost any room without purchasing anything else. Wire butterflies are easily attached to the bedposts or can be hung from the ceiling. You also could invest in butterfly stencils and then involve your youngster in a painting project. Though, something less permanent is often the best way to go.
In fact, if you have some butterfly wings left over from a costume party, those could be incorporated into the room décor. Simply paint over some of the colors if you feel as though they do not match, and see if they might look perfect attached to the desk or hanging outside of the closet space.
The other good thing about the butterflies as décor is that they are lightweight and made entirely out of inexpensive materials. You can have fun with how you put them up in the room without worrying about whether or not they might break in the process, and can experiment with color since they are so easy to repaint using acrylic.
